The OptiDual laser system was specially designed for customers that require a laser system capable of high production cutting. The OptiDual features two lasers mounted on a single gantry. The second laser is connected to the master laser by an adjustable bar. As the master laser is cutting a part, the second laser will be cutting the same part just inches away. Both lasers’ output power can be matched within the KCAM software. This ensures that the parts being produced are similar in size, accuracy and quality.
The HyperDual package features a dual servo motor/rack and pinion design resulting in greatly improved speed and acceleration. The accuracy and repeatability of the OptiDual’s motion system well exceeds the demands of Kern’s growing customer base.
LIGHTWAVE LASERS SOURCES
CO2 lasers from 100-200 watts can be installed on the OptiDual model. The OptiDual is equipped with two separate laser sources, doubling the systems throughput capability. Kern’s LightWAVE laser sources are made in the USA.
SOLID STEEL CHASSIS
The OptiDual is built around a precision-machined, heavy-duty steel weldment as the machine base. The one-piece weldment allows for the machine to arrive fully assembled, greatly reducing installation time.
DUAL PURPOSE EXHAUST SYSTEM
A vacuum blower package removes fumes and small debris created during laser processing. An integrated downdraft table holds material secure to the table as it is being processed. All hoses and hardware between the laser system and blower are included.
CHILLING UNIT
A high-performance computer and monitor package is included with each system. KCAM laser software, CorelDRAW® and an easy-to-use PDF converter are pre-installed on the computer.
